actually work
in the mind?

The Five Skandhas ("aggregates")

Form (Rūpa)
The “hardware” of experience.

Sensation (Vedana)
Raw experience: pleasant, painful, or neutral.

Perception (Samjna)
Recognition and labeling of experience.

Consciousness (Vijnana)
Ongoing stream of awareness
and possible action.

Mental Formations (Sankhara)
The “operating system”

A complex dynamic system
- Reflex shortcuts
-Feedback loops
- Continuous adaptation

Transform the mental formations
Build new memories and habits.

New patterns emerge
More skillful responses, less suffering,
greater clarity.
